Green Taxis from Campus Entrepreneurs — ASU

January 19th, 2008 · No Comments · Campus Eco-System, Entrepreneur Profiles, Entrepreneurship Programs, Funding, Students

ASU has clearly placed entrepreneurship at the center of its agenda, so I was not surprised to read that four campus entrepreneurs in Tempe, were working with the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative, to launch “Green Taxi Cab.” They will start with 2 Toyota Prius cabs. The article by Ryan Calhoun is here. The companies website is here.

This is a smart idea b/c they are entering a growing, high margin market (green transportation) and doing it in an environment (campus) where the market (students) are at the leading edge of that curve. (BTW, the company will offer discounts to students).
